Ginger and chamomile, both revered for their health and skin benefits also have some interesting folklore.

Ginger our warming, spicy, tummy taming friend is a Mars ruled herb with associations with Scorpio energy. Ginger is often associated with magical uses ranging from love spells to protection. It has been said to chew on ginger while bring confidence and vital force to ones spirit.

Chamomile when walked on, its honey like aromatics will often reveal its presence before it is seen. For this reason it was utilized as one of the aromatic herbs used often to be purposely planted for pathways and areas of foot traffic.

Egyptian archeology shows chamomile was used in several preparations involving crushed petals used on the skin. Hieroglyphic records show that chamomile was used cosmetically for at least 2,000 years.
