Our Farm

Welcome to our farmstead ! We are located on unceded Wet'suwet’en territory in Northern British Columbia also known as the Bulkley Valley. This is a beautiful part of the north with healthy rivers, rolling valleys and alpine mountains. The landscapes are stunning and full of wild animals and botanicals.

Our sanctuary is 2.5 acres of boreal forest with a modest 500 sq ft log cabin built in the 1970s. We are slowly restoring the cabin back to its original glory. Our days are spent upgrading our cabin, tending our 2 gardens, greenhouse and 7 laying hens. When we are not at the farmstead we spend our time in the pristine mountains and valleys amongst Moose, Elk, Deer and Bears.

Gardening 54 degrees north of the equator is a short season of just 110 frost free days. While this sounds like a hard area to cultivate plants, we have the advantage of up to 17.5 hours of sunlight in the peak summer days allowing our gardens to grow quickly!. We have learned these extra sun hours truly make up for the short frost free days. With dedication, patience and determination we are able to support our apothecary with a variety of homegrown medicinal herbs and flowers.

Flowers and Herbs

Stewarding the land and tending our gardens is an integral part of our lives, and we hope our offerings reflect that. Thank you for visiting our website and reading about our small farm.
